Are you looking for studio or live/work space? Our St. Louis arts space databank is being repaired. In the meantime, please contact us and request our listings, which we can provide by email. If you are a landlord or property owner with available studio or live/work space, VLAA will include your property in our databank. Please complete a listing form. Artists, before signing a lease, please read our Guide to Leasing Studio Space. Arts organizations, excellent information about space choices, moving, facilities projects is available on the Nonprofit Finance Fund site. For a detailed, step-by-step information about leasing or buying property in the City of St. Louis, consult our Arts Space Resource Guide located in our resource library (6128 Delmar). This guide is a one-stop source of information on leasing, researching properties to purchase, sheriff and foreclosure sales, financing, business assistance, zoning, inspection, and much more. Another great resource is Square Feet Chicago, which contains 27 easy-to-understand chapters covering specific aspects of securing space. While some of the information is specifc to Chicago, much of it will be useful to artists and arts organizations in Illinois and Missouri. Development of VLAA's Arts Space Clearinghouse was made possible, in part, by a grant from the St. Louis Philanthropic Organization, Inc. Our goal is to encourage, support, and facilitate affordable spaces, in which low-income artists can work and live.
